I purchased this travel system after a few months of shopping around. it has a great safety rating and generally high reviews. the car seat is fantastic! my 8lb newborn fit perfectly with the cushion and the harness would make a Nascar driver feel safe. i was a little shy of the buckle at first (not sure how to describe it, it snaps really firmly and quickly so i was afraid it would pinch, but i never had it actually happen). the stroller is a little bulky even when folded but we expected that when we read the size specs listed at the time of sale, still i wish it were slimmer when folded. Regarding the other reviewer who mentioned sweat being a problem with the cushion may have a point, but my little girl is very hot-natured so she sweats a lot anyway and we live in south Louisiana where summertime starts in March. still, I haven't really noticed any excessive sweating. regarding the stroller seat, i love it. it fully reclines for even the tiniest of babies to be comfortable... When we found out we were pregnant, my husband and I were of the same mind regarding baby gear: no gimmicks, only the necessities. We also agreed (mostly) on budget. Our baby girl is now 5 months old and I think the Chicco Cortina Travel System is one of the best purchases we've made thus far.

Sticker shock comes to mind when I remember shopping for strollers. $700? For just a stroller?? Really?!?? Given that most families invest in at least two different strollers over time, and will definitely be buying at least two car seats, we weren't prepared to go down that road. The Chicco Cortina Travel System has been a wonderful and affordable solution. Granted, it might not be as sexy as some of the more expensive options, but both the car seat and the stroller are quality products - certainly miles ahead of many low-end brands (like the Graco I borrowed when out of town recently).

I think this is the best travel system available at this price point. It is easy to use and install properly. The stroller pushes one handed easily and turns on a dime. Plus I can fold it one-handed. The straps on the carseat are very easy to adjust which is nice with a new baby. I searched and researched it and found that diapers.com was much cheaper than anywhere else.
